Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Gault.
Noah, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Ever since I was a young kid, I’ve always been deeply into music and I remember the first time I was struck by a song that inspired me to be what I am now. I was probably 11 years old when I heard “Changes” by Pac come on the radio and it honestly sparked something inside of me. I started becoming obsessed with 90’s hip-hop, learning about all the pioneers and even the first DJ’s. I was also into rock music and the 1920s – 1980s era big time. I listened to all types of music because they all hit me in different ways. It was all a huge part of my childhood that basically directed where my future would lead. Before music, I wanted to be an author so I would write stories as a child and even try to publish them so all of that really translated into songs and writing lyrics. I had my first professional recording session at age 14 inside Patchwerk Studios and then ended up going to New York to do small gigs with my artist friends the same year. I was also doing a lot of shows around Atlanta and whatever I could to gain experience. I was in a group from zone 6 who basically acted as my mentors and helped guide me a lot in my early teens. I barely graduated high school in 2016 because all I ever did was draw in class and write lyrics day to day. I didn’t understand why everything had to taken so seriously especially knowing that I didn’t want to live a normal life. After high school, I dove directly into learning how to audio engineer instead of regular college so that I could try and master my craft myself and also because I did not care about anything else. In 2018, I really got deep into numerology by seeing “333” multiple times a day for weeks in a row which inspired me to create a staple song in my career and has guided me ever since. It recently touched 300K on Spotify and has broadened my audience to foreign countries. My goals as of right now are to travel state to state throwing shows with my team and then to expand out of the country when the time comes. I’m also planning on dropping multiple tapes and albums along that timeline.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I can create all types of music and wouldn’t really categorize myself into a specific genre. I mostly rap but I can bring rock vibes along with some alternative flows as well. My music is all about my life, feelings, dreams, etc. Everything I talk about is real whether its pain, love, heartbreak or any raw experiences I go through in life. I want my listeners to truly feel my emotions when I let them bleed through a mic. I want them to understand that I feel them when they feel trapped or in a dark place and to know that they are never alone. I don’t only want them to relate to my dark side but also to my bright side because there’s always happiness somewhere inside; you just have to find it. Everything I do now is recorded, engineered, mixed and released all by myself from a MacBook inside a little garage and that makes the reward feel even greater. I hope to inspire the youth to be anything they want to be in life because they can be exactly that if they believe in themselves hard enough.
How do you think about success, as an artist, and what do quality do you feel is most helpful?
Success for an artist is loving everything you make, enjoying the process, and believing in yourself the whole way. Once you’re confident in your craft and it’s always fun for you, then I consider that success. I also believe huge egos result in downfall and genuine souls go the long way. Staying true to yourself and never riding someone else’s wave is one of the major keys to being a successful artist in my eyes.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
