Meet Dontia Mcmichael of Seduction101 in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dontia Mcmichael.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dontia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been dancing for over 15 years. Over that time period, I have had the opportunity to choreograph for many dance groups, companies and solo projects for some of the top agencies and dancers in Atlanta. While gaining those opportunities, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of the most remarkable women around the world. I remember the first time I thought of the idea of me teaching my own dance class. I was sitting at my desk watching my past videos from previous events with the feeling of wanting more. Thinking of ways to help the ladies in my community gain self-confident while connecting more with their emotions and understanding their physical growth. The way I dance have attracted many women and inspired them to become more comfortable with themselves and with their sex appeal. I’ve always been told that I seduce the crowd when I dance so instantly I thought “SEDUCTION101”. The name of my company not only represent me but represent every women that I touch on my journey in becoming closer to Dontia. I have always wanted to empower women and through dance, I have the opportunity to bring out not only self-confidence in women but also getting women to realize that WE own our right to be FREE and SEXY. “EMBRACING THE BODY TO SEDUCE THE SOUL”

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It defiantly hasn’t been a smooth road for me. One of my greatest struggles that I still battle with today is actually owning the fact that I am an entrepreneur so, therefore, I cant continue to clock in and out at an establishment that does not allow me to accomplish my dreams. Stepping out on faith was the best thing I could have ever done. When I finally stepped up to the plate, I constantly had ups and downs and not meeting certain deadlines but eventually with patience and hard work, four years later I must say I’m very happy with my progress.

Please tell us about Seduction101.
The name of my company is called Embrace Mi. Within that, I have Seduction101. I teach women how to be seductive to their spouse while keeping things spicy in the bedroom. My classes help women build self-esteem, learn different movements in the bedroom and also teach them how to love their body the way it is. I specialize in private parties, one on one training and group sessions.

Some of my proudest moments are having my clients come to me and confide in my ways they would like to spice up their bedroom life. Nowadays, it’s hard to tell another women your insecurities without them judging you or making you feel unworthy. Having my clients come back for more actions and more advice lets me know that I met my goal, and that was to empower.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Traveling the world. My dad was in the Navy so I have had the opportunity to live in some of the most beautiful places. I still remember chasing giant dragonflies in Japan right next to our lake in our back yard.
