Meet Donqual Young of Lil Ratchet in Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donqual Young.

Donqual, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started doing music as a backup plan after I quit playing football. I made a song and it did way more numbers than I thought it would do. People were telling me I should take music serious because I could really go far with it. So, I took it seriously and started doing small open mic shows in Atlanta. I had the support from my people around me so they helped me get my name out to others that never heard my music. I started using social media to help gain more followers and fans. The rest is really history.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road??? Lol, not really. The struggle about an upcoming artist is getting the right attention. I have people attention but I’m still trying to get somebody big to notice me.

Lil Ratchet – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m an artist. I make all type of music. I have struggle music, club music, trap, and romance. I mix it up because that’s how you stay in the game for a while once you’re in right?

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
To be honest, the proudest moment of my career so far is actually getting DM’s from people all around the world. I love when people I don’t even know tell me how much they love my music and that they are a fan. Another one is when my daughter  go slap crazy when she hear my songs. Love it!
