Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Parker.
Natasha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
You know that one time in Elementary School when they ask you what do you want to be when you grow up? Well, I wanted to be an Art Teacher! I love art, I love creativity, and I love working with kids. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time with my faith when I woke up one day thinking about having a place I could put all of my art supplies and share them with my community. My family thought it was such a crazy idea at first, since I wanted to dive right in, but they knew it was something I was very passionate about. Their support was and always will be key through this journey of growth.
Has it been a smooth road?
Is there such thing as a smooth road!? The biggest struggle for us is maintaining affordability and having confidence that our community will understand why we are here. It’s important to us to keep our cost low because we want to bridge a gap of those that normally wouldn’t be able to afford to go out and do activities like this. With so much going on in the world around us today, we have worked hard to create an affordable outlet where young artists’ alike can feel safe and have creative freedom whether they are a beginner finger painter or they are skilled at drawing.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The PEA Studio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
The PEA Studio, also known as the Purple Elephant Art Studio is located inside of Champion Kids Athletics. We have art classes available for all ages, from little scribblers to home schoolers, and art camps to parties for all levels of artistic skills.
What we are most proud of as a business is how much we have been able to step outside of our walls to volunteer in our community by face painting for parties and events. This is what helps us learn about our community and the locals in order to provide them with the most comfortable experience when they come to visit our studio.
What sets us apart is that you don’t have to be creative or have “artistic skills” to participate. Our space literally becomes yours as if all of our supplies were in your home, you access as little or as much as you want and leave the mess here. We are also located in a space where you can make it a day of play; the gym has inflatables, and trampolines so if you have multiple children there is something for all of them, total parent win!
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like about our city is that there is something for everyone and there is so much to explore and learn. What I like least (outside of traffic) is that everything is so spread out. There just isn’t enough time in a day to do everything!

Natasha is following her heart and her dream. Yes, when she was younger, she wanted to do something with art. She would say that she wanted to give kids parties and make craft. She has always loved working with the community and has looked for ways to give back. Her incorporation of crafting, working with youth and event planning is awesome!
