Today we’d like to introduce you to Shay George.

Shay, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
2 years ago I had the idea of a cleaning service with cute girls in cute uniforms. I wanted to completely change the way people thought when they heard “maid”. I also decided to charge per hour instead of sq. footage and by room because it would work out cheaper and allow the customer more flexibility. Queen Bees do everything from laundry and organizing to deep clean, we never charge extra for anything we just charge per hour. I decided to add the app because I’m in love with technology and a simple way of booking is important to our customers. Right before opening, I decided to add cooking services because nobody is offering that. After opening, I realized the more you offered the customer the more they would come back to my business so I added mobile detailing, mobile barbers, makeup artist and TV mounting. More services are coming soon!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Everything about building a business is hard, especially with a completely different business model. There’re a lot of learning lessons along the way and they all cost a lot of money. Educating the consumer and finding the right help have been the biggest struggles.

2 Bees And A Broom is the all new mobile service that offers multiple services to be done at your home. Queen Bees are far from your typical maid. Queen Bees are beautiful, speak English, cook, clean, organize and do laundry. The 2 Bees And A Broom platform is your personal maid service. Single parents, bachelors, parents who need a night off from their daily parent duties, busy people, people who travel often all need our services. I most proud of proving the business model. It’s easy to take someone else’s idea and build a business around it. It’s hard to be a real entrepreneur, come up with all you own ideas and show it to the world not knowing how the public will react.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the next 5 to 10 years, 2 Bees And A Broom will be in at least 3 major cities. As I learn the consumer base I plan to add services suitable for them. I’m always looking for ways to better service the consumer.
