Meet Apryl Byrd of Fitness Unparalleled in Lithonia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Apryl Byrd.

Apryl, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Fitness was always familiar to me having a mom that was a VHS Tape at-home workout fanatic. In 2011, I found my lane in fitness when it became an outlet for me after suffering from the death of a younger sibling by Sickle Cell Anemia. As I grew a passion for fitness, I soon began to realize that I was inspiring others as well! This led me to my first position in the fitness industry, a group fitness instructor at LA Fitness! After working for LA Fitness for two years and gaining a personal training certification, my attraction to other fitness enthusiasts began to dramatically increase. With very little thought I decided to branch out and start a company of my own; Fitness Unparalleled!!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not! One of the biggest struggles is learning that your success has no time limit or time frame. In the fitness industry success is ongoing and its the motivation you have for yourself to allow that success to grow to its biggest potential.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Fitness Unparalleled story. Tell us more about it.
Fitness Unparalleled is a company that specializes in teaching enthusiasts on how to build a RELATIONSHIP with their health and fitness! I provide fitness programs for Corporations such as Kroger, Cisco & National Vision. In addition, I create fitness and health regimens for personal clients and provide group classes for those who are motivated easier in a group setting. I’m most proud of being a black-owned company that specializes in corporate fitness, it separates me from the average trainers in the industry! What sets me apart from others is that I teach and provide credentials for the average person to know how to live a fulfilled life in a healthy and fit manner. They can apply what they have learned from me consistently as they move on throughout life without the services of me.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck!! It’s all about being prepared when an opportunity presents itself. My preparation for the opportunity of starting my own company has led me to ongoing success! Success for me is having an appreciation for all of the lives that I have impacted over the years. I am a blessing to many people who have struggled throughout their fitness journey and they are a blessing to me! As the fitness industry continues to evolve, I look forward to the many opportunities to come my way and will soon be teaching the WORLD how to build an UNPARALLELED relationship with their health and fitness!
