I started Opulent Nightlife Group back in November 2017. Originally, I started putting events and parties together back in college. After I graduated, I wanted to do some things differently and curate more luxurious, private, and intimate events all throughout the city. Which is how I came up with the name Opulent. Which is the pinnacle of luxury? The purpose is to create impeccable and unforgettable experiences.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
– Working with event planners.
– Getting sponsors.
– Explaining the vision.
– Putting a team together.
– Growing the organization.
– Growing a network of DJ’s, photographers, videographers, and venue owners.
Please tell us about Opulent Nightlife Group – what should we know?
Opulent Nightlife Group is a luxury event curation and hospitality company that specializes in creating private, unique, and unforgettable experiences. We are known for our open bars, the intimacy of our events, the experiences, etc. We’ve had live paintings, keynote speakers, dinners, wine tastings, boat experiences, etc. We create a different type of setting. We plan to grow Opulent into an elite luxury event and concierge organization.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My parents played a big role into helping me getting this business started. They believed in my brand so much, they gave me the $1800 i needed to curate my first Black Tie Event. My fraternity brothers, former classmates and teammates from school have all brought tickets and have supported as well. Working with other dynamic business owners such as Ramira Hosch (DJ Mu), Juan Moore (Speaker, author, activist), Kadeem H (Y.E. Atlanta), and my consultant Jasmine Long, have pushed me to take my creativity to new heights. Other people who have played a meaningful role include Que Jackson, as our media sponsor, Kendal Lanier, a talented photographer and filmmaker, and Nia Terry.
