Meet Naomi Jackson of Too Pretty For What in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Jackson.

Naomi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Too Pretty For What was birthed from the voices of others and what they thought my high school journey and life should look like. For years I’ve been told you’re too pretty to do this and you’re too pretty to do that. I was told that I didn’t “fit” the normal look of a shot put thrower or a weightlifter.

People were always shocked when they found out I held the title of the strongest girl in my school and that I was a proud participant in my ROTC program. Most felt and would “state” that I “looked like” I should be a school queen, club queen, dancer, etc. I’ve even had to turn down jobs because employers wanted to place me in positions where they wanted me instead of where my interest would lie. So, after growing tired of the stigmas, stereotypes and hearing the voices of others on what they thought my journey should be, I decided to launch my platform- TOO PRETTY FOR WHAT!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My brand is only six months old! The biggest challenge I have is to keep going even if many people don’t understand my message. So far I have been very successful in my t-shirt line and speaking at events for young women. I’m ready for any challenge that comes my way!

Too Pretty For What is a brand and platform designed to empower and connect young women beyond their skin and outer image. Society today will have you believe that we can’t be pretty and perspicacious, connect without competing, or advance by way of ability versus attraction. We will no longer be reduced to just “being pretty”! Touch our core, there’s so much more!

I specialize in making young women feel confident in who they are and accepting and love themselves for who they are! I am known for my creative t-shirt line where I offer tank tops, crop tops, hoodies, and t-shirts.

What sets me apart from others is my drive no matter how little or big my support system is. I’m always going to do what I was called to do and that is to be a World Renowned motivator!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I love everything the way it is. I took my time working on my brand so I don’t ever look back!
