Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia and Anjali Abrahams.
Sophia and Anjali, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It’s a funny story actually. Anjali and I decided to surprise our friend with a ticket to a speed dating event on her birthday. After telling her what the surprise was she had the normal reaction of shock and terror, as she should. Not every day do you get surprised with tickets to go on ten mini-dates with ten different people! Naturally, we were prepared for this kind of reaction and were able to calm her down by prepping her with tips and questions and helping her remember that no matter what happens at least she will have a fun story to tell!
Fast-forward to the end of the night and she had a blast! Her confidence was at an all-time high, she made meaningful connections and she realized that dating wasn’t as scary as she originally thought! We were so glad she was able to have the opportunity to meet with so many individuals who were looking for the same thing as her: a connection! Seeking the same thing, my sister and I, being 22 and 23 years old, searched for events for our age group, but failed to find any and were pretty disappointed.
It’s clear that human connection is something people desire no matter what their age. We figured, why not reinvent speed dating events that are more interactive and fun and host them for ALL adults, not just a select age range? But why stop there? Meeting people, in general, is hard. Trying to find new friends, attempting to network and searching for your soulmate is not as easy as it looks in the movies! Even with the apps supposedly making it easier!
Inspired, we decided to create our own OFFline events designed to help people connect!
Today we host events in the metro Atlanta area and New York City! We thoroughly enjoy helping people find genuine connections every chance we get and we are planning on expanding to other states in the very close future!
Has it been a smooth road?
Oh, the road to success is never a smooth one. For starters, co-owning a company with your sister is not always sunshine and rainbows. Learning how to communicate and operate with someone you grew up fighting with is a struggle on its own! It has, however, taught us a lot about working with someone who thinks the opposite of yourself and being able to compromise for the betterment of the company we created. We have had a lot of obstacles in addition to that, but we keep reminding ourselves that there is always a way to overcome them if we are dedicated, work hard and stay inspired.

As we progress through time we have regressed in the simple interactions we share with one another. Dating apps and other forms of social medias, have contributed to our new way of socialization by influencing us to compete with one another rather than connect with one another. Finding a genuine connection in this era has become extremely difficult. Especially if you don’t connect with individuals at your job or at your school. Trying to find a connection in another environment has proven to be very challenging.

Whether that be in a platonic way or a romantic way, we know what you’re looking for and provide the open, welcoming space to not only grow as a person but to introduce you to individuals looking for the same thing as you.

Atlanta is such a diverse city! Being in a melting pot that is rapidly growing and evolving is such an amazing environment to thrive in and be a part of. The only downside is that Atlanta traffic!
