So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The inspiration for this venture came from my own wine tasting tour experience for a girlfriend’s Bachelorette Party. We had to drive so far to the pickup location, and certainly could not safely drive ourselves back when it was all over. For several months I had been entertaining opening up my own business before this, and the very next morning after my wine tasting tour, I made the decision to become an entrepreneurial once again. After taking care of the legal structure, enrolling in a few classes through the Small Business Development Center, I stepped out and purchased a transit van and set sail! Our Grand Opening Tour was in August 2018. The industry was very slow and hard to penetrate, but through persistence and perseverance, I built relationships and rapport with vineyard owners. Our second year started off really well.
During this brief journey, what I have realized is that sometimes we don’t take out the time to expose ourselves to different lifestyles. There is so much in North Georgia to experience, but wine tasting is an undiscovered treasure. Georgia is ranking close to third in the nation for wine production, falling just behind Texas and California. We spend our money at the mall, new tennis shoes, new purses, but have hesitation investing in an experience that will transform our lives. So, it’s exciting to bring folks from all over Atlanta who have “stepped out of the boat” as I did. To watch their amazement during the tastings and to see them soaking up the beautiful, rolling hills and vineyards is incredibly satisfying.
I would LOVE to expose as many people of all walks to this captivating adventure. Day-cations are doable and rewarding!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Our biggest hurdle has been getting our name and word about us out to the public and servicing area. We have tried multiple platforms and have not received the following that we had anticipated. The lack of tours results in mounting out of pocket expenses to keep the business running. But I am trusting God along this journey, and He hasn’t let me down yet!

What a disaster and basis for irreparable humiliation….but Jesus took the time out to secure these hosts’ continued ability to portray hospitality.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a loner. The only girl, the baby of a family with four children, so I was forced me to attack life head-on! I spent many great years on the beaches of Long Island. I loved to read and watch the Yankees play. My parents owned a boat, so fishing was a big part of my childhood. I can bait a hook and clean a fish with my eyes closed!
