Today we’d like to introduce you to Noel Davis.
Changing as many people lives for the better is Noel’s ultimate goal. From 12 years old, she dreamed of becoming an archeologist as she studied anthropology and geological science at Rutgers University of New Brunswick, and archaeology at Manchester University in England. Being able to study abroad and having the opportunity to excavate a Roman villa in Vacone, Italy made her feel ready for the world after graduation. Exactly two months later, Noel received a call for her first federal project in Philadelphia on I-95 in 2014. After a long year of working throughout all four seasons as an archaeologist in the city, unfortunately, Noel ended up in a traumatic car accident that changed her life. Having to go to physical therapy and attending numerous doctor appointments for over a year, she lost strength in my back as she currently has a permanent bulging disc that causes pain down her legs from time to time. Never forgetting about her first love ‘archaeology’, she persistently kept asking doctors what would she have to do to be able to excavate again. By mid-2016, a doctor gave her the advice of rebuilding her core as a way to strengthen her back! At that point, there was hope again! Working as an environmental instructor in Camden NJ for a year and a half, Noel’s love for health and fitness grew. She then decided to get certified after many recommended becoming a personal trainer and birth her very own business “Paris Fit” on September 1, 2017.
Noel has had the opportunity to transform the lives of many including business professionals, brides, expecting mothers, seniors, local radio talk host, children, students, athletes and models throughout Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Challenging herself and others to reach any goal became Paris Fits number one priority. Noel feels that fitness is the cornerstone to overall health and wellness and that getting fit is the first step to a new and healthy lifestyle for anyone no matter how busy their hectic schedule is nor their age! For the past year, Paris Fit has been able to teach at senior centers throughout Philadelphia, grade schools in New Jersey, Rutgers University, talk on panels, fitness expos and much more. Previously, she has helped raise money CHOP Philadelphia Walk/Run for Childhood Cancer, she raised money for the Big Philly Climb to support Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation, she supported back to school drives and recently collected over a 100 toys from her first annual Cardio Holiday Challenge that was donated to Youth Service Inc. She recently was featured in Canadas Inside Fitness Magazine Issue 83, East Coast Magazine, and Philadelphia Magazine (BeWellPhilly). Noel believes 2019 will bring much more as she will continue to expand, grow and help build a healthier world.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Entrepreneurship is always a struggle, especially in the early years. Recently, I was in a near-death accident unfortunately that sat me down for two months. After understanding how my first car accident guided me into a different career path, it made me scared in this most recent accident as I had more serve injuries such as brain trauma and neck injuries. However, I was not going to let this stop me! Finally understanding my purpose to help others by inspiring them to pursue a healthy lifestyle made me more focused to grow. Not having any business loans, an assistant or any help times can be up and down. In my case, it was really up to myself on how to make my business go on, even when I am unable to be apart of the physical aspect of the job. During this time, I used my downtime to create more of an online presence as I am now an amazon seller, I’ve created new workout guides, connected with different companies for new partnerships and I continued to working with my manufactures to create new products as a way to keep the business floating. This process allowed me to think outside of the box as a way to grow my business more while creating new connections with other business owners. When your back is against the wall, it’s your time to shine to show what you are made of and I am just happy, I did not quit.
Paris Fit – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Paris Fit is a personal training/fitness merchandising business. We specialize in rehabilitation training, weight loss, strength training, resistance training and more. I have had the privilege of serving all ages from 6 – 95 years old. Being able to share the importance of health to both men and women of all ages as has taught me how to work with all body types making me well rounded. As far as the fitness merchandising, Paris Fit has a line of Airpods, Fitness Watches, Resistance Bands, Sweat Belts, Yoga Mats, Yoga Blocks, Workout Gloves, Massage Guns, Workout Gym Bags, Arm/Thigh Trimmers, Sweat Vest, Clothing and More. The product is what separates Paris Fit from most as it is continuing to grow more and more like a home for one’s fitness need outside of the regular sweat belts, etc. As a company, I am most proud of being able to make an appearance on Fox News to share my story of starting this business out of a tragic situation as I was able to touch thousands of viewers giving people in similar situations hope.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success when you accomplish something that you never thought you could accomplish, whether you believe that within yourself or someone else told you that you couldn’t. Being a small business, people do not expect for you to grow big, when something goes bad in your life, people expect you to fail but that is the moment where you have to rise above it and show the world what your made out of and that is why I look at Paris Fit and I see success. Two years ago, no one even heard of the name now people around the world even in other countries have seen the logo or have heard the story behind the business history. The real success for Paris Fit will come when the world is healthier, the obesity rate lowers in our country, and more people with injuries are seeking out rehabilitation rather than surgery giving them another chance at a healthy life.
