Meet Jonathan Perry a.k.a Wess Pahm in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Perry a.k.a Wess Pahm.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jonathan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was always passionate about music. I’d hear sounds and cadences, and lyrics would form in my mind. I began to jot them down in 4th Grade, and before I knew it, I found myself freestyling in front of my classmates.

I’d receive standing ovations and comparisons to “Lil Wayne” when I thought we were just messing around during free periods.

My homie, Areb, quickly told me that I needed to take this seriously because, for some reason, he knew that this was my purpose and that I had a story to tell.

So, I began grinding. Sleepless nights, neglecting high school projects, dates and anything that would seem important to any 17 year old at the time.

Anything to put the pen to the paper and make something worth the while.

I struggled with a name at first. Needed something to go by. “Juice” was my moniker, but “Wess Pahm” became embedded in my DNA.

I began to release Singles and Projects under that said name, which catapulted me from an Island Artist to an Internationally known artist.

I realized that I had to take my talents to the hub of music (Atlanta) if I wanted to take my career to the next level.
I currently reside in Atlanta, GA, pursuing my dream to become the greatest rapper of all time.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road when working towards your goals.

I’ve struggled financially sometimes in terms of funding videos, studio time, etc; as well as having a solid team and support system around me that could assist with different tasks in order to get in a better position. I never gave up though! And with all 10 fingers and 10 toes down, I was able to gather the necessities I needed to give me the access to do certain things for myself. Like my home studio for example.

What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
I go by the name of, “Wess Pahm.”
I’m a Caribbean hip hop artist from the West Indian island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines that writes, produces and engineers for popular artists all around the world.
I’m an artist. So, I’m most known for performing new and unreleased tracks at my shows in the Atlanta, GA area.
I am most proud of my Record Label (Dadz Dem Records) which allows me to independently output material at my own pace and satisfaction.
What sets “Dadz Dem Records” apart from other record labels is that we key in on what the artist believes in and what they see themselves doing on a long term basis.
We allow them the creativity to do what mostly reflects their image and how they want to brand themselves.
100% freedom for the price of self-confidence.

What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
Limitless. I want it all. However far it takes me is however far I’m willing to go and beyond.
