Meet Asia Wallace of Soooasia in South Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asia Wallace.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Asia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hi, I’m the Creator and designer, creativity is my middle name. Born and raised in Atlanta GA, I am 23 and I currently reside in the Southside of Georgia. Growing up, I’d always had a passion for doing anything creative. At the age of 16, I started out doing makeup using my talents for art and love of colors. I was known for my very dramatic looks, even down to the gruesome Halloween makeup. Slowly improving my self and hoping to make this into a career, Life Hit. At the age of 17, I and my sister were involved in a terrible accident, as a result of a sleepy driver. I woke up later in the hospital to only realize, I’d fractured my hips, and broken my collarbone and ankle. Further analyzing, I’d also realized that I had one week before my high school graduation. Shortly after graduating high school, I took time to learn how to walk again. Perfecting my craft and reflecting on new career choices, I decided to attend Paul Mitchell and receive my Master Cosmetology license. Eventually, after standing up for hours on end and testing out different salons I had began to lose hope. I would constantly become pained and I didn’t feel like myself anymore. So, I decided to bungee and I began doing nails. “It’ll be easier,” I thought, less work, not standing for long hours and I could still use some of my creativity, not realizing that this would be the choice to change my life. I began to fall in love with nails once I realized I could truly maximize my eye for design through the way of nail art. Now, a mother of two, wife and entrepreneur, I am shining brighter than I ever have and the greatest part is I’ve now done nail work for some of your favorite celebs and the roster is continuously growing. Can’t wait to meet all of you.

Has it been a smooth road?
There are some many factors of being an entrepreneur both good and bad, I’ve dealt with insecurities, rejection, self-doubt, and fear of failure. In the end, I’ve always come out swinging and having a great support system helps. It hasn’t always been easy for me on this journey and it’s definitely not over yet.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Soooasia – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My company speaks many volumes, I pride in creating a space where you can feel yourself. As the middle child, I’ve always felt like an outcast and using my way creativity to express myself has been the most efficient way to create a strong bond with my clients. I specialize in creating an experience and telling a story with one’s nails. Being a Nail Technician, I’m most proud of the growth of my business and the way I have grown not only as a tech but as a boss. Currently, I have now been doing nails for about six years and I believe I am set apart from everyone else because I’m not only continuously creating art but most importantly a nail family.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that my city is home. It’s all I’ve really ever known and I wouldn’t change that a bit. I plan to raise my children here and possibly grow and expand my business within my city.
