Meet Kiara Potts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Potts.

Kiara, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a native of small-town, Tallassee, AL and the Founder of The Potts Foundation and Key Inspires, Writing and Resume Services. I use my current platform to inspire others to become confident in their pursuit of a professional career while offering motivational nuggets of encouragement to fuel their personal ambitions.

With such a zeal for writing, reinventing someone on paper and uplifting the skills of others has become second nature. I have a passion for inspiring and helping those around me, and through that, I instill confidence into each and every person I come into contact with.

I enjoy utilizing my love for writing as a way to motive and teach millennials how to deal with the everyday challenges of life. My lifestyle blog created gives me an opportunity to express my love for teaching individuals how to overcome and not remain stagnant when things get tough.

My love for helping those around me has played a very large part in me being where I am today.

Has it been a smooth road?
Of course not! The difficulty for both has been educating individuals on the importance of proper planning and preparation as well as just taking things seriously. A lot of people contact me, whether it be for a scholarship or resume assistance, literally at the last minute. Unfortunately, what I can and cannot do at the last minute is often limited and sometimes a hit or miss. It always breaks my heart to say no, but I’m learning that for the sake of my sanity and the quality of my work, everyone’s emergency cannot be my emergency.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
The goal of Key Inspires, Writing and Resume Services is to put your mind at ease as it relates to the stressful and tedious process of job hunting. Because we believe that your greatest investment should be in yourself, we are in the business of investing into you and your career! We pride ourselves in being able to help put the appropriate language to the skills you may find it difficult to explain. We want to see you grow while creating a memorable experience that is far beyond the normality of being “just” a resume service.

he Potts Foundation was established to assist graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled in college and graduate students with college expenses such as books and tuition/fees in pursuit of a college degree. The Foundation is dedicated to furthering the education of young adults who demonstrate the financial need and academic proficiency. We also wish to pour into the scholarship recipients through encouragement, mentorship, and motivation.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Luckily for me, my business can be set up any and everywhere but Atlanta is definitely a great balance to flourish!
