Meet Judith White of White Sand Travel in Stone Mountain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judith White.

Judith, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I designed the vacations we took except for a couple of occasions when I used a travel agent. The problem was, my vision and the design for the vacations never quite matched and I ended up frustrated and disappointed. That drove me to pursue an education in Hospitality Management to learn more about the industry.

When my son got married, there was so much focus on the wedding that the honeymoon was almost completely forgotten. Last minute budget plans forced him and his bride into a lack luster honeymoon – so I witnessed another lackluster honeymoon!

I read that only 23% of couples have their dream honeymoon! What!! At that point, I decided to devote my time, skills and passion to help couples avoid the honeymoon pitfalls I had or my son had.

Today, I help hundreds of couples plan their dream romance experience. It’s important that couples know that they can have their dream experience. We help them focus on their personality and lifestyle when they plan their romantic experience together whether it be just an “I love You” getaway; their once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon or their jaw-dropping destination wedding.

A travel experience is so different than a travel itinerary and price is not the same thing as value. My team and I help discerning couples find both.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
A smooth road? OMG, no, not at all!

In the beginning, I thought I had to compete with the online travel vendors and match or beat their price. But, why would I even do that when I deliver so much more.

Another huge challenge was deciding on a niche. Travel is huge so it’s almost impossible to serve everyone and every travel need. After hundreds of hours of research, education, resort tours etc., I narrowed the focus of the business and today we focus on romance travel to the Caribbean and Mexico and we work with only the top vendors and resorts.

We are very selective in the clients we serve. We focus on cultivating a relationship with them and curating a unique experience that they will treasure for a lifetime.
