Meet Marla Peoples and Jennifer Sewell of Bella Fiore Salon in Loganville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marla Peoples, Jennifer Sewell.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Marla, Jennifer. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Jennifer and I opened the salon in May 2008. We were best friends that were tired of the crazy hustle and bustle of life. We were eating dinner and hanging out at Jennifer’s house one night when our husbands suggested that we go into business together. Jennifer had the knowledge of a stylist, as she had been cutting hair for over 15 years. I was working in downtown Atlanta in the Corporate world. So, I could handle the business side of everything. After praying over it all, we took the leap of faith and haven’t looked back since. It has been a crazy ride, but one we wouldn’t change. We currently have 11 stylists, 1 nail tech and 4 guest service coordinators. We recently remodeled our Loganville salon and made it so that we could accommodate an even bigger team. We are a family at Bella Fiore Salon. There are a lot of good salons out there! So, it’s important to us that each client feel special and that we go above and beyond what is expected.

Has it been a smooth road?
We often get asked, “was it hard opening your own salon?” Or, “is it hard working together and being best friends?”. Our answer is always the same: nothing worth having comes easy. We have gone thru some ups and downs with the salon, but they have only made us stronger. I never want to quit learning or trying to be better. You learn how to improve your customer service along the way. Which commission structure works best. And other ways to make your salon run smoother. The most important thing is to not let it get you down! Keep smiling and learn something from each obstacle.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Bella Fiore Salon – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a full-service salon that offers various hair services, facial waxing, manicure/pedicures, make up, spray tans and eyelash extensions. We are proud to have certified color specialists in our salon. Our stylists work hard to keep up with the latest trends and participate in continuing education.

We are most proud of our professionalism and customer service. We want to make sure that every client that comes into our salon feels special. We want them to feel better about themselves when they leave than when they walked through our door.

We have a saying as you walk into our salon. It says, “la vita e bella.” It means Life is beautiful! That is exactly how we feel about the salon, our clients and life!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We love how Loganville is growing and making so many updates to the city! It is an exciting time and we are thrilled to be here to see it all change. Loganville is full of friendly people and families. All of the changes that the city is making will continue to draw in more and more people. We love growth and we love how many small businesses there are around us.
