Meet Trinette Collier Greene

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinette Collier Greene.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I always knew I would become an Educator and had aspirations of furthering my career such as earning my Doctorate in Education. According to my life plan, I was on that journey until 2007. After being married for six years, I had to divorce due to infidelity within my marriage. This caused me to lose everything… from home to cars to career and more. I truly thought that my life was over! I was embarrassed, hurt, ashamed and lonely. However, over the course of the next eight years of self reflecting (no dating), I had to rediscover who I was. My faith in God grew stronger and I had to trust the process of overcoming this obstacle. Over the course of my 8-year hiatus, I became a published author, Woman On Fire, telling my story of how I went through a divorce as a Christian woman and having to start over. In the midst of that, I became a Certified Relationship Stylist (Coach) and created Woman On Fire TV and Podcast… a show dedicated to sharing the testimonies of women who’ve overcome trials and come out celebrating triumphs. I began to build my brand and business around helping both women and men build healthy relationships with themselves first and then others.

Has it been a smooth road?
There were many obstacles on this journey! The first one being that before I knew of the affair, my plans were in place to resign from teaching after 10 years to start a business with a friend. I used my retirement & savings and was ready to start. Well, what I didn’t know was that my then ex-husband had already started his new life… so, therefore, the majority of my money went towards trying to save the marriage. I lost my home, car, money, and could not renew my contract in that year. After a few months, it didn’t work out and so, therefore, I was forced to move in with my sister and niece. With $200 in my pocket (from a six-figure Savings & Retirement plan) and the few items I had left in my possession, this was the beginning of my new journey.

Alone, confused, distraught, embarrassed and more, I now had to learn how to make things happen as a single woman again. I had to rely on true friends. Never had to ask anyone for anything had now become my new normal. I had to ask for rides to & from work, to church and other places. My sister helped me out a great deal with buying hygiene items and clothes, etc. I was no stranger to working so I worked as a Tutor, Substitute Teacher and an Events Planner with my first company. It wasn’t enough to help with the rent but I made sure to work even harder to not be a burden on my family. For three years, I looked at life with a new perspective… humbled and meek

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Trinette L. Collier story. Tell us more about the business.
Trinette L. Collier, LLC is my company and I am a Certified Relationship Stylist a.k.a. Relationship Coach. I am known as an ‘Inspirationalist’ because I inspire you to develop healthy relationships with your loved ones. That may sound like an odd thing to do but it is needed. I’ve always been known to listen to others and help. I was always told that I gave advice with compassion, empathy, and plenty of love. That is because I truly have a love for people and healing. I believe the world would be a much better place if we all would take the time to listen to others… with love.

My most proud moment as a company was the actual launch of it and the website. Once everything was solidified as an actual company, I was then ‘forced’ to step out of my comfort bubble and just do it! It was scary but yet I was very proud because my vision that was written was birthed!

I believe what sets me apart from others is the genuine love of people that I have. To the point that I have rendered my services for free! I just LOVE what I do! I am honest and transparent about my journey. As a Relationship Stylist, I have experienced LIFE and I bring those experiences to the sessions. My love for healing, the smiles I get in the process and more truly brings me much joy! I also continue my healing as well.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see this industry expanding globally and will be included in other professions as a necessity for companies to assist in building healthy and productive relationships in the workspace… a bit more intimate type of team building that would include the social and emotional culture.
