Meet Jay Blanco of Fillo Painting in Woodstock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Blanco.

Jay, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My Father started in the residential painting industry when he came to Georgia 25 years ago, he had me working summers and when I was out of school. He started on his own as a sub-contractor to a larger company and began marketing directly to homeowners in 2009. I offered to help and we have since grown to become one of the most reputable painting companies in the area. With his focus and quality and my focus on Customer Service, we have been successful in growing our business and providing outstanding service to our customers.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been easy, there are times when it was slow especially during the recession and during the recovery but we knew to keep pushing. It has also been a challenge at times between my Father and I and our differing visions for the business and our different management styles. We have been lucky in that our experience and ideas complement each other.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fillo Painting – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We specialize in residential repaint services. We are known best for these services but we also offer home improvements like flooring, tile and remodeling as well as exterior home improvements like roofing, siding and gutter installations as well as deck construction. What sets us apart is our true focus on customer service. We always hear from our customers that we are very thorough in communicating throughout their project and they recognize that we give them attentive service.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are looking to grow. Year by year we have been growing and offer more services and we plan to continue doing this. We are excited about where our business is going and continuing to provide our customers with excellent service.
