Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Adams.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began my YouTube journey about three years ago, looking for a creative outlet to express myself. My channel “MissFeMarie” is about all things Lifestyle. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, home decor, decorating………..did I say shopping? I never thought I would be sharing content with over 12,000 of my closest friends. Getting to this stage in my YouTube career has not been easy. There are long hours of filming, editing, and planning content. Many think it’s just smiling for the camera, but there is a level of “stick-to-it-ness” you must possess in order to see growth.
It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. There have been many speed bumps and detours along the way. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease, a hyperthyroid disease that causes joint pain, tremors, fatigue, etc. This autoimmune disease had me down and out on many occasions. Making it almost impossible to be consistent in building my channel. I also work a full-time job in Education, which left very little time to focus on creating content. Not to mention my very busy job as wife and mother of 5.
I am a child of God with a very strong faith. Prayer is always my first line of defense when challenges arise. I firmly believe, with God all things are possible. It has not always been a smooth road……
Please tell us about MissFeMarie.
My YouTube channel, “MissFeMarie” is a lifestyle channel. It specializes in empowering women (and men) to be the best version of themselves. I’m proud of how far my channel has come. The growth I have experienced in the last month has been epic. My sincerity and passion sets my channel apart from others. I truly love what I do and the ability to connect with my subscribers weekly.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Christmas. I have four siblings and I remember how my mom and dad did everything in their power to make the holidays special for us. We didn’t have much, but we had each other and that was enough.
