Meet Ashley Raeneil

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Raeneil.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ashley. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Ok, ok, so peep, in December 2014, I was randomly rambling to one of my close friends about how creative I wanna be, and low key boasting about how good I am with right-brain activities, having never taken art classes. So, he decided that Christmas gift me with an art set and two canvases… IG was a thing, so after I painted a random picture I found on Insta, I uploaded it and got quite the love from my friends… even a request to purchase it (whaaaa?!) so that just out a battery in my back and I never stopped. The more you do something inevitable, you’ll get better at it anyway.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of my biggest challenges is balancing my love of freedom with the business aspect of being an artist. Deadlines were never my thing, but now, I have to force myself out of my own procrastination at times and that can prove to be a pain in the butthole. Having to be your own motivator takes a whole other level of crazy that I’m willing to subscribe to.

Ashley Raeneil Customs – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am an overall creator of dopamine enhancing elements to increase your atmosphere. I teach really fun art classes for all age groups, art therapy where we dig into what colors represent what emotion for you, and how often you utilize them, I dabble in blacklight photography, furniture repurposing, custom mirrors, murals, originals, and curation services.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is nothing short of doing what you are sent here to do. To some, it can have financial undertones, but I have bartered a percentage of my art, which helps me to strengthen my community and escape from the oppressive fiat currency systems. Happiness and an abundance of resources. That’s success to me.
