Meet Samuel AsH of Sash Media Group in North Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel AsH.

So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born in Texas near the Mexican border an area called “The Valley”, I was introduced to a variety music early on, but I knew that I needed to leave my small hometown, so right after high school, I moved to Arizona to study audio engineering at The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, and then right after that, I interned at Omni Sound recording studios on Music Row in Nashville. But my career truly began when I pursued an opportunity to work in radio in Atlanta in 2004 and as word of my production grew, I connected with Fabo of snap rap legends D4L (Laffy Taffy), who signed me to my first contract. I toured with D4L at the height of their success, I was also fortunate to work my way through a roll call of hip hop royalty like 2 Chainz, T.I., Kendrick Lamar, Young Jeezy, J.Cole and more.

I also work heavily in Latin music, I’ve produced for artists like Legarda, Redimi2, Blanca, Andy Alemany’s debut Ep which got nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2018 and nominated for a Dove Award in 2019, I’ve also mixed a series of records for “SOLIDO”, including 2013’s Inolvidable (#1 on Billboard’s Latin chart) and its follow-up Sentimientos (2015 Latin Grammy-winner for album of the year).

I subsequently established Sash Media Group a full-fledged production company that has gone on to produce songs for popular films and TV shows, including MTV’s Teen Mom and Netflix’s original True Memoirs of an International Assassin. We’ve also been heard on networks ranging from CBS to Univision. My goal now is to inspire people to pursue their dreams and passions. because persistence beats resistance

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The music industry is one of the toughest industries to find stability in, so that was definitely one of the major obstacles when I started. finding the clientele, finding the balance of doing what you love but also learning to make it a business so you can sustain yourself. You have to fully believe in yourself and in what you do, and just stay consistent. it will work out eventually.

Please tell us about Sash Media Group.
Sash Media Group is a full-fledged production company. We can create anything from Producing Albums or Singles for Artists/Bands to Mixing Commercials for Film Companies, to Film Scoring for Film Studios, to Writing, and creating content for any company wanting to release any type of projects that involve music or songs.

I’m really proud of the fact that we pride ourselves in excellence, and making sure our clients are always happy because we want them to know that we care about the final product just as much as they do!

What sets us apart is the fact that we are Bi-Lingual and can navigate through multiple genres and demographics and do it with excellence. We also have our finger on the pulse of what’s going on in Music, Media and Entertainment, so we always have a fresh approach to our projects.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite memories is listening to my favorite songs on the radio and recording them on blank cassette tapes straight from the radio, and road trips with my family.
