Meet Chaketa Givhan of Power2Manifest in Smyrna

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chaketa Givhan.

Chaketa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
In 2016, my son was diagnosed with AVM. Our family decided it was best to homeschool the children at the time, so I needed to supplement my income. I started an Etsy shop selling my crafts in 2017. My husband gifted me a Cricut machine which allowed me to personalize products in my shop. This allowed me to expand and create more and new opportunities for myself and my family.

I gained some success in my Etsy shop after a year of struggling trying to make it work. And what is most rewarding to me is that my kids see what entrepreneurship looks like because they’ve been right here with me every step of the way.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We are no longer homeschooling, but at the time it was difficult to manage with that much responsibility. Add on layers of research, trial and error and even finding the time to work toward my goals. But when there’s a will there’s a way. Even now, it’s coming along slower than I want it to, but I will never give up! And I hope to inspire the women that are in the same boat.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Power2Manifest – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Power2Manifest I teach aspiring entrepreneurs to create with a Cricut machine, so they can start an online business. I do online private Cricut classes to teach women how to make custom shirts and cups with the machine. I also have an online course they log in to and take at their own pace. In addition, I am also creating resources in the form of online classes to help build their business.

What I hope to accomplish in my business is to give women a hand up in helping them achieve their personal goals of entrepreneurship. We wear many hats and sometimes our goals can get lost in the shuffle of life. I want to be that resource that will help them get to that next step/phase of achievement.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m going to continue adding resources and offering classes on my website Power2Manifest.com.
