Meet Trailblazer Stephanie Buggs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Buggs.

Stephanie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started off doing makeup about seven years ago. My first makeup job was at Greenbriar mall. I continued to push for better opportunities then landed myself a coveted position working at Mac cosmetics. I stayed there for about three years but it still wasn’t enough. I was working all the hours while someone else was collecting all the money. I decided that at that point, my journey was going in a different direction. I felt like it was time to step out on faith and was ready to start my own brand. I left Mac in March of 2019 and opened my business the following month in April. I decided to take my business to a low key side of town and opened in arbor place mall. And that was pretty much all she wrote. I have been there now going on a year and couldn’t feel more blessed about my decision.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road here wasn’t easy by any means. While working for others, I had to sacrifice a lot of my time from my children, family, and friends. I had some horrible bosses. I cried plenty because I knew that those jobs weren’t my destiny. But I did know that they were a part of my journey and were preparing me for my next season. I think the biggest struggle I have had is finding people who want to work and help me get closer to my vision. My best advice would be to make sure you have a solid team. Your nothing without your team! And with that being said Q,Alex, and Vida thank you for all that you do for me and trusting my vision.
