Meet Dr. Ashanti Odom-Pitts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Ashanti Odom-Pitts.

Dr. Pitts, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ashanti Odom is a Global Humanitarian, a Founder of a Non-profit organization, Author and Professional speaker that prides herself on helping others discover their purpose. Ashanti has managed to overcome so many obstacles in life and has turned each obstacle into a stepping stone all while managing to build a massive organization with a network to leverage. Her philosophy is “If you teach a man to fish he will eat for a lifetime.” With that thought in mind, Ashanti has managed to do just that by teaching people about brand awareness, the power of credit and how the hardest sacrifices yield the greatest rewards just to name a few.

She has been personally mentored and trained by the #1 motivational speaker in the world Dr. Eric Thomas. Her ability to utilize behavioral science to uncover talents and discover in order to strengthen non talents in individuals has helped thousands to understand that their behavior determines their level of success.

Walking away from corporate America and starting her own business to help others become successful, in both their personal and business was a decision that required massive faith but manifested great rewards.

My husband Dr. Casuel Pitts has been extremely instrumental in helping me to become a better me by being my #1 supporter in pushing me into my purpose. Our children are daily reminders of God’s gifts to us who we mold and then ultimately our gifts to the world to leave an impact.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not, it seems that the more greatness that resides on the inside of you, the harder the trials and sacrifices arrive that will attempt to delay your process. I placed my oldest son in one of the most prestigious schools available where he was introduced to drugs. I spent almost a year dragging him to rehabilitation, therapists and specialists to break through to him. He is still a work in progress but he is showing improvement daily which is a positive move in the right direction. It was this struggle that birthed my single mom organization where I have been able to assist moms in every state in America and 10 countries around the globe. I understood that single moms have a hard time locating resources that will not only assist but have an immediate impact on their situation. My mother has also fallen ill and having to take care of her has become a major priority. Sometimes the fact of dealing with both issues at the same time has been overwhelming, but God has been amazing in reassuring me His grace is sufficient.

Please tell us about your practice.
I am a credit guru, DISC assessment analyst, author and professional speaker. I am most known for my ability to help individuals get their credit scores in an excellent range so they can purchase the home or vehicle of their dreams. I specialize in behavior science assessments that uncover an individual’s ability to destroy the glass ceiling in their life and business, by helping them leverage their talents and strengthen their non talents. I am most proud of the thousands of success stories that have been generated as a result of my compassion and dedication to see the change in other individuals. My expertise, compassion and willingness to remain patient through the process of growth for my clients to reach their goals is what sets me apart.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
It’s quite funny now that I think about it, but it was also a direct insight into my purpose. At seven years old I remember lining up all of my stuffed animals, every last one of them so I could have a huge audience. I stood in front of them quoting an impactful speech a great amount of it was the “I have a dream” speech from Dr. Martin Luther King. I remember being firm and direct but speaking with so much passion that I saw the teddy bears and stuffed animals stand up and clap with a standing ovation.
