Today we’d like to introduce you to Barbara Cochran.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Barbara. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been modeling for at least 20 years. I could never pick up a permanent job for modeling, but I was all ways choice for modeling jobs and fashion show as time passed and with many life events that occur. I been thru two marriages. First marriage 14yrs, 2nd marriage 18yrs, doing my second marriage my life can at a standstill. I have two daughters. Well, little did I knew that as a parent and looking forward too, my oldest daughter getting ready to graduate from high school. She was killed the day before her high school graduation. Wow, my life was crushed. I didn’t want to live after that. But, I knew I had to for my one and only daughter living. After much godly counseling, prayer, and love from my family, friends, the community, I accepted the well of God for my life. The Lord allowed me to be the founder/pastor of Harvest Temple Deliverance Church.
Where I served as pastor, how, I have always had a passion for fashion and to owning my modeling agency.. So while in prayer and fasting, I heard the voice of the Lord. Daughter, you are a model for me. So you will rip the runway and be fashionable for me. So this is where the company name rips the runway model from Christ come. My motto is you can be saved satisfied and feel with the holy spirit and fashionable at the as time. There are many people who would do the same, so. I believe that God has given me this platform for them.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been a very long journey and we are still working the knots.
Tell us more about the business.
My business is ripping the runway model for Christ. I know for high fashion runway modeling. I am proud of my company because while on the runway, I am presenting Christ.. My company is set apart because it’s Christian base.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the company employee models with major companies, to name a few: Sak Fifth Ave, Macy, Neiman Marcus, .etc..
