Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Bradley.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Kimberly. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started as a gig economist two and half years ago, unintentionally after being laid-off from my job within law enforcement of almost 15 years as an officer. I decided to leave the traditional work-force and embrace the entrepreneurial world, but unfortunately, it did not embrace me back, so I thought. I absorb all funds of my 401k (not smart) to pursue my life-coaching practice/plus-size fitness company LipstickNFit, but not only did that quickly fail, but I also had no passion for it any longer. Still, months after being laid-off, the mere thought of going back to the traditional work-force brought on anxiety and shortness of breath like nothing I’d experience before. I wandered for some time trying to figure out my purpose and what I wanted to do entrepreneurially, mentally, I doubled down on my pursuit, but still had zero concepts of what to do. Bills needed to be paid so I stumbled upon the gig economy as first both and Uber and Lyft driver. The intentions were to be in it off and on a few months, Well a few months turned into many months, but I then began to see the awesome business concepts within the various gigs I began to work and branched out into many others.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not! I couldn’t understand why I seemed forced to stay in the gig economy, but as an entrepreneur, it has served as an excellent self-employment university. My hardships and mismanagement have helped shape me as a business owner. Looking back over my difficulties, I can tell you that my greatest obstacle was not being able to let go of the “employee” mentality. Though I was a business owner and creating my streams of income, I seemingly subconsciously wanted the gig economy and my businesses to fulfill me as a traditional job/career would. I learned that you must develop, manage, and maintain your securities in the self-employment space, which requires a lot of discipline and money management.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business primary focus is helping those within the gig economy or those looking to funding their businesses themselves to use gigs in a way that allows them to be highly profitable in the least amount of time, use the gig economy to network and leverage their businesses. My tagline is “We Drive to Fund Our Dreams”, I teach that the purpose of the gig economy is a temporary solution, a catalyst to not fund your dreams as an entrepreneur, but develop as one. I specialist is helping “giggers” as we’re called to maximize their earnings and teaching them to work the platforms strategically, there’s a skillset to working multiple gigs. Many work these gigs and earn peanuts. I teach them how to be profitable by way of providing consultations, coaching services, eBooks, and YouTube vlogs. I am most proud about the individuals that write in and tell me how profitable they now are because of my teachings, many were about to lose their vehicles, be evicted, etc. but in most cases, within days or a week, people see well over a 300% increase in their earnings from gigs using my techniques and strategies! What sets me apart from all the other known diggers is I am known for grooming my people to build their enterprises. I am constantly reminding my viewers and students that the gig economy is a temporary source of income that can be used purposely so that you can be your CEO!
