Meet Erin Yabroudy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Yabroudy, of Harry Norman, REALTORS

Thanks for sharing your story with us Erin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in Athens, GA. I went to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. After college, I was a school teacher in Atlanta and then got married and moved to Charlotte. I moved back to Atlanta in 1998 and seriously considered getting my real estate license. Instead, I got busy having children… After the birth of our third child, and the purchase of our fifth house, I decided the time was ripe! I lived in Ansley Park and decided I wanted to focus my community involvement, marketing and advertising in my own neighborhood. I have worked hard to become an expert in Ansley Park and over the years have expanded my efforts to Morningside, Virginia Highland, Druid Hills, Midtown, Inman Park, Candler Park, Brookwood Hills, Ardmore Park, Haynes Manor, Garden Hills, and Buckhead. I now have a team, and with the help of my associates, we are helping buyers and sellers throughout Atlanta!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was tough to break into the Atlanta market as an “outsider” – I am not a native Atlantan, so I didn’t have any inside track to clients. Honesty and integrity, combined with hard work and determination, have proven successful. Helping people buy and sell homes is my career – I eat, sleep and breathe it!

Another struggle was the recession – I didn’t see a decrease in my business – I just worked twice as hard! It will be interesting to see how Covid-19 impacts real estate – so far things are definitely slow but still steady!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company is made up of knowledgable and involved Realtors across Atlanta. We are geographically focused rather than being focused just on listings or just on buyers. I encourage my associates to become involved in their communities and to become market experts. We spend a lot of time volunteering and we donate a portion of every sale to The Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta. Harry Norman matches those contributions! We sponsor local events, support small businesses and serve as a resource in our respective neighborhoods and areas.

I serve on the board of the Piedmont Park Conservancy as well as Gcapp. I support organizations that impact our community in a positive way and that are near and dear to my heart. I walk in Piedmont park every single day with my family & my two dogs. It is Atlanta’s largest contiguous greenspace! I love the mission of Gcapp. Empowering adolescents to reach their maximum potential!

I am proud of the impact we have on a hyper-local level – I think it is inspiring to our clients as well!

We offer our clients a concierge-level service. On the sale side, we are with them pre-listing as they prepare their homes for market, we offer staging, incredible photography and video, we have amazing marketing, advertising and networking, we show our listings by appointment, and we support our clients through contract negotiation/inspection/appraisal and on to closing – we are really with them every step of the way! On the buy-side, we provide expertise not just on a particular home, but on what an area might offer in the way of schools, shopping, dining, recreation, clubs and commute to work. We are able to introduce our clients to new friends and neighbors and help them get involved in their new community!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I loved helping my mother and grandfather in the garden! I grew up in the country, so we always had a vegetable garden. My grandparents lived on a lake and also had a big garden. I loved summer vegetables – harvesting, cooking and eating! There’s nothing like a homegrown tomato in July!
