Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Latham.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a kid, I always dreamed to be a star and take care of my family so football was the route I chose as a young boy. I was destined for it to be my platform to help my family and make it big. Suddenly while I was chasing my dream, my mother had gotten sick in 2014 and it slowed me down to the point of having to quit altogether. I moved back home from São Paulo Brazil to Birmingham, AL to help my mother. I gotten a great job and everything was working great.
After about a year, I just got transferred to a better position with better pay. Then one morning rushing on my way to work my life flashed before my eyes when I hit the back of an 18 wheeler. On the road to recovery, I was able to walk out of the hospital that morning around 10am with only a few scratches, staples, stitches. It took about a few months to recover and it led me to acting. The first role I was offered was a background role as a quarterback for The Brian Banks Story. After being able to work on set I knew this was the career for me. I take pride in acting like it’s my passion just like football was. I’ve been acting for about three years now and I had auditions for Tyler Perry, Regina King, and a few more big time directors. Acting has opened some doors for me and I can’t wait to make it big for my family.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
After my car accident having to depend on people was a struggle for me because I’m use to taking care of myself. Even after getting into acting and learning the ins and out of it. You really have to be strong-minded.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
