Today we’d like to introduce you to Lildon Williams.
Lildon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got started doing music very early. Just being around older siblings made me grow into music. I got into having a clothing line by always wanting to have designer brands but not a lot of money to purchase them. I got myself together, came up with some designs and pushed my line out there.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Obstacles and struggles I’ve had along the road would have to be building a fan base. Also being able to get my products in the right hand to elevate.
Young Block – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As far as an artist, I’m a hip hop artist that can juggle between new and old school rap. I think that ability itself puts me at an advantage in music right now. As for my clothing line, Culture Vibes Clothing is an urban brand for all kinds of people. I made this for the underdogs and to help people represent their personalities through clothes. I’m most proud of being able to create something that all people can relate to, whether black or white.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment so far has been this year during the quarantine. Although we were inside, I’ve gained a lot of new customers and supporters that now know who I am more than before. I was allowed to do this during a pandemic and that made me very proud.
