Meet Micah Blair of Blerdover

Today we’d like to introduce you to Micah Blair.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Micah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up my mother brought me a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy and that was my first love to superhero’s and after that, it was history after that, playing with Pokémon cards, Watching Anime (Dragon Ball Z). But growing up, I was picked on, talked about, single out as a (Nerd) and being told that is made for white people, black people do not talk about or do this. So I had to change my ways to be apart of the in a crowd.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been hard because of not having the support when I first came up with the idea, due to me being a black man that loves everything about being a nerd.

Blerdover – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The purpose: BLERDOVER is here to promote black excellence and P.O.C excellence in the Blerd world and also to let the black community know that’s it’s ok to be different and to be yourself. If you are a Cosplayer, Artist, Actor, Author, Creator, Gamer, etc.!! We are here!! If you want to join the Blerd world and you are looking for a start! We are here!!! If you feel that you are alone and looking to meet Blerds, We are here!! BLERDOVER IS A SAFE HAVEN FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR. We are here to motivate you and dedicate our time to promote your ideas to the world!!!! #BLERDOVER

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Being A Major support system for black nerds and being a feature at Comic cons and also hosting panels. Also, having an all-black Convention in Birmingham, Alabama, hopefully going on for years. Also, to have annual events at children’s hospitals, feeding the homeless, Back to school drives.
