Meet 4GN Mari

Today we’d like to introduce you to 4GN Mari.

So, before we jump into specific questions about your music, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started doing music when I was about 12 years old. I used to take my Uncle’s laptop to record music using the Mixcraft software. I met Richie Lennon when I was about 14 then we started making music together on the laptop with just earphones. Later on that year, I bought some studio equipment so we could actually start recording quality sounding music. I dropped my first actual song named “Hop Off” via SoundCloud with Richie Lennon and Nando and people were liking it. It gained over 2,000 plays in the first couple of days, which led to us recording more and more. I then dropped a collab project called SOM Lifestyle featuring all of my Stuck On Money patnas, which gained thousands of views on spinrilla within a week and that was the start of my music career.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I mean it hasn’t been perfect but it has been good overall. Each year I see some improvement in myself as far as my sound, lyrics, beat choice and the amount of supporters that I have. That’s all that really matters.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I like to consider myself as an artist, not just a rapper because I like to make all types of music. Plus, I record and mix/master ALL of my music myself with my own studio equipment. I feel like that already sets me apart from many other artists. I also feel like the story inside of my lyrics set me apart. You can actually get to know me through my music, just listen and you’ll see.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memories are coming home from school to making music every single day, having piped sessions, coming up with all that music.

Pricing:
