Today we’d like to introduce you to JB Washington.

JB, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Being raised in a small town in Mississippi by the name of Shelby. My grandmother had us in the feels in a very young age. She told us to be handy with our hands and all the tools that you need for home was in the sheet which sat in our backyard. We started billing three houses in club houses at 8 to 12. What I mean about we is my two other brothers which are no longer with us. We were very handy and good around the house to the point where we added rooms to the house. So, moving ahead a few years I find myself in Atlanta, Georgia doing deliveries. I’ve worked for several different delivery companies which I started in 2007.

2016 I bought a drill. I put an ad on craigslist and got a phone call the following day. After that, I got more leads to different free sites on pro apps. My business slowly started to grow and as of now we’re still in process of growth.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As of now businesses is ok, slow at times. But it’s only the beginning. I’m looking to expand greatly within the next two years.

JB Home Furniture Assembly Service – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
This business is consist of all furniture of all furniture assemblies. From living room furniture, bedroom furniture, kitchen cabinets, outdoor playgrounds and sheds. We are a company that does it all and there is no job too big or too small for us. I have children and they look up to me. I feel like being a small business owner, a mind will be set on different goals through life. That’s just one of the things that I’m proud about.

Being able to show my children that anything is possible no matter what your past was like.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Spending as much time as I want with my kids and family and having no worries at vacation time.
