Meet Jasmine Felder of Motivated Minds Publishing in Macon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Felder.

Jasmine, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story consists of strength and determination but also abandonment and unhealthy generational cycles. In 2015 my sister passed away unexpectedly, I was searching for a career field that gave me purpose, and I wanted to have a way to express myself and my journey. For five years, I played around with the thought of writing a book but, in January 2020, I began to feel as if my back was physically against the wall. I had a newborn daughter to provide for and I wanted to get my story out to others. As I finished with the writing portion of my book, I created my publishing company Motivated Minds Publishing so that I can continue to self publish and also help others who have a story but need help with the business aspects. I know there are many people who take advantage of people who are uneducated on certain topics. My business is about showing individuals how to write from the heart. I am walking my clients through a step by step tasks on how to write effectively, present themselves in a manner where readers can connect with them, and become the best versions of themselves despite adversity.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth road? Of course not. I have worked since I was 19 years old and now I am 27 years old. I have had people decline my request for help, I have been turned down for numerous jobs I felt I was more than qualified for, and I even gave up on myself at times. However, on October 10, 2019, my daughter was born and nothing else mattered. No excuses were valid anymore and being declined only motivated me to knock down every barrier that existed.

My company’s mission statement is Motivated Minds Publishing is committed to captivating the thoughts of the mind and bringing them to full manifestation. Our goal is to take your creative dreams and form it into your biggest unforeseen reality.

We specialize in various writing projects. I have mentorship programs that will help new and aspiring authors. I offer assistance with building cover letters to send to potential employers. I also offer an essay editing package that proofreads essays, letters, etc. and provides feedback.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, every lesson is a needed lesson. If I went a different path, I might not have the blessings that I do now.
