Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashida Inez.
Hi Rashida, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story of survival begins in the small town of Phenix City, Al. It was the home of the drug dealers and murders. I remember as a little girl playing in my front yard with the bullet shells the previous night’s drive-by shooting. I am a domestic abuse survivor, a victim of rape and molestation. However, my story of success began when I lost my home, my vehicles and filed for Ch. 13 bankruptcy that eventually would be dismissed by the courts. From there, my two sons and I became homeless but was able to live in a local hotel. I remember sitting on the edge of the hotel bed, holding my youngest son while my oldest was asleep. I noticed a roach crawling up the wall our hotel room just above my son’s pacifier and I began to cry uncontrollably.
It was during that moment that I made a vow to never become broke again. The next morning, I began designing my own t-shirt line, which quickly turned into a successful online boutique (www.blessedandbeyondboutique.com) and I began to use my social media platform (Facebook) to encourage others by way of prayer and prophecy. From there, my ministry (Rashida Inez Ministries (RIM)) began to expand rapidly. I began preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the country. As a by-product of such, I am now a successful entrepreneur, plus-size model, aspiring actress, uprising photographer, Pastor of the Jesus Encounter Church and a happy single mother.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not be a smooth road at all, not for Rashida Inez. Until the vision (your dream) unfolds, there is no such thing as a good night’s sleep. The only time rest and relaxation locate you is when you are on your lunch break. 10 mins a day is all the relaxation and rest that you get until your vision has manifested. That’s it… until the vision unfolds. The journey to success requires rejection and public ridicule. The humiliation of having my business plans rejected and laughed at to my face hurt but I decided to wake up the next day and do it again. Preaching to a hundred of people and knowing that my own family didn’t show up to support me hurt but I decided to wake up and do it again. Not to mention the mental trauma that was undealt with from age six until age 30. The low self-esteem that came from being raped and beaten multiple times was its own burden. It was a burden that would show up every time I had to minister to someone else. It showed up just before my business meetings. The struggle of healing is never smooth when you are in pursuit of life and success.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the Presiding Servant-Leader of Rashida Inez Ministries (RIM). Under the umbrella of RIM are several ministries. The most popular one is The Jesus Encounter Church, where I serve as the Senior Pastor. I am most known for my ministries of prayer, prophecy and ministerial training. In addition, I am known for my online boutique Blessed and Beyond Boutique. I’m not your average preacher. I dress differently, speak differently and my youth baffles many. Although my youth is noticeable, I have sons and daughter that are 20 plus years my senior that look to me as their spiritual mother. I push others to live their dreams just as I am living mine.

Helping women walk in their beauty with confidence. Moreover, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
