Meet Marie Moring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marie Moring.

Hi Marie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A Time to Dance Studio was conceived in the year 2000 when I taught my first dance class. The physical studio was born in 2008 in Metro Atlanta GA. At the time, as a single Mom, I needed a way to make money and be able to have my kids by my side much more than I was. At the time, I worked bankers hours and barely had time to spend with my children. I knew one thing I could do well is dance. This studio was also created to bridge the gap in the community as it relates to genres in the community dance studios. We realized that the majority of studios offer dance styles such as Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. Here, at A Time to Dance Studio, you will find instruction in Real Hip-Hop, Praise Dance, Zumba, African Dance, Belly Dance, Latin dances, dance fitness, toddlers dance and much more… We have classes for the entire family from toddlers to adults. We understand that for some, dancing is a hobby. Some just want to take classes for fitness and personal development not only competition dance.

Then, the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world and our dance business came to a halt. Months went by and still no hope of returning to a normal dance class schedule. To keep ourselves hopeful, we started teaching free diet of dance fitness classes on Facebook to combat the quarantine weight and lethargy. Then in early August of 2020, I decided to do a TikTok dance video. Well, immediately within one day, that video generated two million views and counting. It also gained me worldwide exposure. Just like that, we are back in the dance business but this time better! We now dance with the world and not just our city. With over 500k supporters and over 50 million views between Instagram and TikTok, we are spreading joy and inspiration to the world during the word’s extremely difficult days. How amazing to go from a setback to such a major comeback. We are grateful and excited to continue our family dance legacy with everyone around the world.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The main challenge has been continuing to thrive and evolve our dance company since Covid-19 changed the way we were allowed to do business. My daughters have now become not just students but partners in the business and together with God’s help, we would find a way. Not only was I not able to have face-to-face group classes anymore, I put on so much quarantine weight that my joints began to ache and the quality of my dance went all the way down. Learning to have online classes and cultivating a dance community was the task and losing weight became the goal. We did it! Also, with such a wide audience I now reached, having a companion product to sell was needed. I found a juice called Bye Bye Belly. It’s an all-natural plant-based, sugar-free, keto-friendly weight loss juice. It burns stubborn fat, particularly in the belly area and gives amazing energy. I lost 35 lbs in 12 weeks and my joints were back to normal. Now I fly when I dance. I loved it so much that I decided to become a consultant and coach. I’ve been using it for six months and have not gained one pound back and so many women and men are experiencing the same results. It’s delicious and nothing like I’ve ever had in a weight loss supplement.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a social media dance, family and fashion influencer. I create content daily to advertise for reputable businesses and clients. I help people build solid financial blueprints and resources for their business and families. I own a dance and finance company. We have online dance classes and will begin to host dance workshops around Atlanta and other cities. I have an M.B.A. Finance degree and I love helping people reach their dance and finance goals afterlife tried to break them. I am a published author of a book titled, “What’s the BEST that can happen?!” I have one purpose and that’s to spread the Joy and Peace of God above anything else. What’s the BEST that can happen?! It’s my Mantra and Mindset.

How do you think about happiness?
I am a Mother and wife of six daughters, one US Marine Son, and four grandchildren. They are my happy place. Dance is my escape. I have no recollection of reality when I start bustin’ Moves. I really love dancing with my daughters and bringing the generations together thru dance. I teach them old school dance moves, they teach me new school and TikTok dance moves. It’s an amazing way to spend time, get exercise and have fun. We must not forget where we have evolved from and also remain present to the fresh ideas of the next generations to arise. Also being acknowledged by greats in the entertainment industry for my contribution such as Wayne Brady, Kelly and Ryan Dance contest winner, LA SoCal New Features, Shaderoom, Viola Davis, BET, Blavity, Jada Pinkett-Smith, etc…
