Conversations with Candace Stewart

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candace Stewart.

Hi Candace, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I initially started my YouTube channel in 2007. I would watch reviews of shows and always felt that I could review shows and build an audience as well. Fast forward to October 2020; I decided to post my very first video. It was a storytime detailing one of the worst dates ever! LOL From there, my channel started to take off. What really pushed me to get started was being in this pandemic and having time to really re-evaluate things.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far, it has been a bumpy road. With many states opening back up, including Georgia, I’ve been asked to return back to my full-time job. Because of this, it’s been very hard getting content out and really maintaining my channel growth. There are also weeks where I feel my channel isn’t growing fast enough. Having a YouTube channel has really made me self-evaluate.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I work in the education industry and have been in this industry for 12 years. I pride myself on making connections and helping people get to their goals.

How do you think about luck?
I wouldn’t say luck has played any part. Everything that have done and accomplished came from the hard work that I put forth.
