Hi Brianna, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
My name is Brianna; Most know me as Slim. I am a 24 year old self taught makeup artist, born and raised in the “new Hollywood” (ATL). Makeup has been my passion for over 10 years and because of that I decided to start my own business by the name of ‘Say Slim’s Cosmetics’.
What have you done to sustain your business throughout the pandemic?
Throughout the pandemic, I’ve had a lot of time to research and brainstorm. I’ve released multiple products that would allow customers to have that spa experience from home so that they may stay safe and healthy during this time. I’ve also changed the hours that I accept appointments. I try to have at least a 30 minute window in between clients so that I can disinfect and clean my work area thoroughly in time for the next client.
What’s new? Any updates?
I have a lot of ideas about what’s next for SSC. Every month I drop a new skin care product and recently I’ve been doing raffles. In the near future, I have plans to organize a few pop up shops around the city and also photoshoots.
What are some of your business goals?
My main business goal is to have my own shop. Outside of that, I would love to see my products and/or work inside of different stores or on billboards, etc. I also strive to make everyone feel beautiful and confident in their skin.
