Daily Inspiration: Meet Patwanda Parks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patwanda Parks.

Hi Patwanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my brand in high school at the age of 16/17. I came up with my brand name Knaps Clothing from my nickname Spank. My grandmother gave me the name Spank so my brand is in remembrance of her. Even though, my brand contribution to her I focus on helping and serving the community by gathering small businesses in different business ventures such as pop-up shops, fashion shows, and photoshoots, etc. Within my brand, my product is focused on street apparel such as beanies, hats, hoodies, sweats, etc. My future goal next is to open a clothing store.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My business had its ups and downs challenges from finding good vendors and little marketing, lack of sales. I did not let that stop my business from growing. Every business comes with success and failures but your business is your brand never give up on what represents you. Keep striving to get sales, marketing strategies, and research.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I host pop up shops for small businesses to network and engage with others on business-related activities. I’ve been presenting pop ups in Alabama and Atlanta since 2018. I love working with other businesses and creators. I specialize in making/designing clothing and creating a vision from fashion. I’m proud of the accomplishments of my business growing over the years and the people I’ve met along the way. I’m set apart for many reasons my style, personality, ambition.

What does success mean to you?
Success is an overcoming process to reach levels of unstoppable accomplishments over a period of time.
