Hi Jasmine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Blu’s Brow Beauty Co. came to life August of 2020 legally. Since I was 14 years old, I’ve always been into brow makeup and eyebrows after I thought I could shape up my own and messed up terribly, and over the years as I got older brow maintenance as well. So I took the chance this year January after many trials and tribulations in my personal life to relaunch my business. In January 2022, I received my certification as a PMU artist for Microblading/shading, waxing, lip fillers, teeth whitening and more! Which I loved it all but my main focus was for the eyebrows. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel like life in general isn’t a smooth road no matter of you wealthy or not. With Blu’s Brow Beauty, it definitely was not a smooth road when it came to finding the perfect vendors, studying, practicing everyday. Trying to find a good location. Getting to know more about being a businesswoman the taxes, the marketing all in all. It was all worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My current occupation, I consider myself is a self-independent contractor/entrepreneur. I say this because I work in the adult entertainment lifestyle (Stripclubs). I started off as a dancer but in July of 2020, I got the offer to become a waitress at my job and right then and there, I know my journey to my vision bigger than this club will happen. Just baby steps that’s all. What sets me apart from others is the way people naturally attract to me as a person socially, which plays a big part in my future career as an owner of many locations for Blus’s Brow Beauty. Also, my dedication, craft, hard work and perfectionist side is top tier.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Definitely, in the next few years I wouldn’t even say five because of how I’m moving and how my business is already going. I see these bigger pictures already! I know it’s not going to happen overnight, I want to be able to open at least 4-5 locations around the metro Atlanta area but I will be humble enough to get one right now to start off. I want to be able to teach classes for young girls who want to get in the PMU cosmetic industry.
