Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Brown.
Hi Natalie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in the middle of a pandemic, which has completely changed my life forever. The last year has been full of mental and physical challenges that I have no idea how I have been able to overcome them. It has taken a strong village of love and support to get me to where I am today. I can now openly talk about my situation and I am helping to raise awareness for this horrible disease.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth at all. I struggle with trying to figure out why ME! I am not sure if this is a test and if it is and I passing or failing. I just want to be completely normal on the inside and out.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Although I am in active treatment, I still work full time. I am currently in software sales and I love building relationships with people.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
If you feel sick or something does not feel right, don’t be afraid to go get it checked out. A lot of people are pushing off visits because of Covid.
