Check Out Kayla Williams’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Williams.

Hi Kayla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since I was a little girl, I have always liked to bake, make treats and cook. My business started October 4, 2020, once I lost my best friend in the beginning of 2020. The JIC in my business name stands for his initials (Jean Ishmael Charles). I started up my business in honor of my best friend by giving half of my profit to a track scholarship fund in his name.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been an amazing journey and I pray it continues to get better. Only struggle I can say I have had is making sure I am knowing my audience when I am attending my pop-up shops or any events.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have the best strawberry cookies and pudding. My pudding comes in different flavors and I always add a special touch to my cookies. What sets me apart from others is that my prices are amazing, I like to have a variety of flavors for anything I make, and I am willing to accommodate any customer in any way whether it’s from allergies or specific diets, etc. What also sets me apart from most bakers or treat businesses, I don’t only sell sweet treats but I also make food and I’m looking forward to soon coming out with more ideas in the food category for my business. I am very proud that I have been getting a lot of offers and invites when it comes to parties, baby showers, and weddings. It makes me happy to know that all of my hard work is paying off and that my business is progressing and I plan to continue to work hard and push forward for more opportunities.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I would be looking into getting me a small building, opening up a sweet treat food truck and I am also in the process of looking to be able to ship to other places other than Georgia. I would like to expand my business as far as it can go. It will take time but I am willing to push my business far. I will also be working on having my own website.
