Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The past 13 years have not always been a smooth road. There was a lot I had to learn when I first started as a professional in the entertainment industry. There were mistakes that I made along the way but it was a learning lesson for the next audition or next gig. The knowledge I have gained from trials and errors have been what has taught me the most and has led to my success and confidence today. I have grown to learn to be ok with not booking every job I submit for because most castings are looking for a very specific look. You will not fit every role so you have to understand that first. I have also learned booking a job is not always about talent but your confidence, professionalism, reputation and experience in the industry.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a full-time freelance creative. Sometimes I am working in front of the camera dancing, acting, or modeling and other times behind the scenes doing photography or makeup. As a dancer/choreographer I specialize in hiphop, jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary and partnering styles. As a makeup artist, I specialize in tv/film, beauty & glam. Sometimes I am doing SFX makeup as well. I am known for my specific style in each aspect of what I do.

I am most proud of being able to live out my dream on a daily basis. It took me many years and a lot of hard work to get to this point in my career which makes every part of my journey rewarding. I never imagined I would have worked some of the jobs and with some of the artists I’ve had the opportunity to work with. Every day I am inspired on a new job where I get to meet and work with so many different talented people. I am so fortunate and grateful to get to do what I love for a living. I am thankful with every opportunity that comes my way. I think that’s something that definitely sets me apart in this industry. I strive to always stay humble.

What makes you happy?
Spending time with family/friends, traveling, and doing a job that I love.
