Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey Ingram.
Hi Audrey, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always had a passion for acting and singing since I was a child. But I just never had the courage and confidence to pursue it. Well of course, when the pandemic hit, I had so much free time like everyone else. I said let me make a good Christian comedy video. I enjoy making people laugh. So I made the video and shared it on Facebook and within an hour it had hit 100k views. After maybe like four days, it hit a million views. I was like umm, wow ok! So I had been getting so many messages and comments that I was funny and to make more funny videos, so I did and they just kept going viral. So yea, that’s how it all got started. Then I was able to be a part of a TV show on FoxTv called “Our Kind Of People” and a few more movie productions.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Nooo..no smooth ride for me. My struggle again was the confidence. I was shy but I wasn’t shy. Then I wasn’t sure If I was good enough. And of course, I felt like I wasn’t the right look and height. So trying to get over that and walk in what Jesus has called me to do and that is spreading Love & Laughter, so it was a struggle. But once I posted that video, that all kind of went out the window. I just realized that I just needed to love myself and be me and who cares what anyone thinks or says.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an actor/social media influencer. I have been in television and film, and I also make my own content as well which has had over 18 million views. I enjoy making comedy videos as laughter is always good for the soul. I do it because you just never know who may need that good laugh to uplift their days. And in most cases, people can relate to my type of video content. What I am most proud of lately, is me putting myself out there and just being free and confident. I believe what sets me apart is my uniqueness and creativity and being relatable.
