Exploring Life & Business with Daniel Filippelli of Goats 4 Sales

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Filippelli.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I knew I was meant for something bigger than myself when I got into the industry of sales. I started this journey back in my late teens working in a similar industry a lot of people know as Network Marketing. I didn’t know anything about business or recruiting or sales for that matter, I was just excited to be part of something growing and something I could see others around me reaching success. I thought to myself if they can do it, then I can for sure do it. In the first 2 years, I was able to help build an organization of over 350 people covering 15 different states and 8 different countries. I had the success I was looking for, being able to inspire and relate to people was my forte and through sales, I wasn’t stopping there.

My next journey took me out of Network Marketing and into B2B/D2D sales industry where I was able to implement what I learned in network marketing and follow through in this new venture. Fast forward 1 year, I was able to open my own office in Chicago running a D2D campaign with a Fortune 100 company. I built my office to 26 sales reps over the course of the 1st year and was very confident in my abilities to reach the next level, but you know what they say the more comfortable you are somewhere the more it breeds complacently. This is exactly what happened, I ended up losing my office because I took my foot off the gas and let the small things slip through the cracks. I thought I was done for in the sales world and I couldn’t get back on my feet.

In between the option of building back the office in Chicago or moving to a warmer state and trying something different, I went and moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue Acting/Modeling. I was able to get into some pretty impressive things this city had to offer just by using my skills of selling myself and creating the right relationships with the right people. I got signed early on to an Agency and started to do runway shows, small acting gigs and extra work. Again I felt like everything was going so well until the work I was getting booked for started to dwindle. I didn’t know what to do after that so I did what I always did and went back into the sales world.

It was another D2D venture where luckily, I was able to meet my future business partner at the time Donavan Morgan. Being around this guy just sparked so many ideas and so many ways to think outside the box. The way he transformed my mindset into thinking like a boss rather being the best salesperson, I couldn’t think of a way to repay him. In a short few months after we met we were able to partner up and create a company and build a sales team called Goats4Sales. Greatest of all time for sales is what we came up with, this company and our minds put together we were able to obtain a construction/restoration client in our first year who we grew their sales team from 5 sales reps to over 50 sales reps and quadrupled their sales.

This industry of Insurance work towards Roofing was unreal. The amount of commissions and consistent sales coming in we were the top salespeople and our team was beating everyone around us so much that they were excited to keep us on for the next year where we again grew their company 10 fold.

Now in 2022, we have taken on over 5 more clients and are now expanding into different states such as Texas and Florida. We are super excited for the future and ready to add value to each and every industry we can. This vehicle we have created for ourselves will take us anywhere we want to go.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all. From moving from state to state to losing companies and sales rep to always re-building, I have always known that greatest doesn’t quit. It might rearrange itself to get back to the goal at hand but it never quits.

We had our first client out here in Atlanta GA and again like I said we got them to 50+ sales rep. When we were in the process of gaining other clients, we sensed that they were threatened by us because all of the sales reps were on our company and they had maybe 4-5 of them signed to their actual company. Which meant if we left, they would go back down to their original sales amount.

We ended up leaving and creating our own company and the client we were working with, I think they went out of business.

Nonetheless, we were told by the very people who introduced us to the industry that we would fail if we went and did it ourselves. We were told that we couldn’t make it a year in business. All the no’s really pushed us in the right direction to make this company what it is today.

We still face struggles till this day, but always know we can get past anything coming to us.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Goats 4 sales is a Sales and Marketing company, we specialize in creating value where our clients need it the most. Recruting/Sales/Sales Training/Social Media Marketing. We are known for being able to recruit high-level people for our clients such as College athletes, Sales professionals, and Entrepreneurs who want a vehicle toward their next success story being able to attract these people make it easy for us to fulfill our client’s needs.

Our Marketing strategy puts us at the top of our industry because we have the culture to back what we are trying to present to our audience.

Sales is a sport like my business partner Roofsbydon would say so we aim to the best there is at each point we compete at.

What separates us from other companies is we dream to facilitate for each of our employees. What I mean by this is that when we have a new member to our company we like to sit them down and really create a plan of attack toward their goals and dreams and what they want to do in life. When we see that on paper and connect it with our business, we can reverse engineer and find exactly what value we can bring to them through working with us. It’s really inspiring to know we can help people change their lives but showing them a different way.

Anyone reading this if they need any type of recruiting for their business/ Sales training/ Social media marketing we can help. Just reach out to us and we can set up a call or meeting to go over what value we can bring to make solutions to your problems.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Some advice for finding a mentor is never be too afraid to talk to someone because of their status in your industry. The people who can help you out the most are the ones who have gone through the trials and tribulations in the same business as you.

Go to networking events in your industry and build relationships with people and again don’t be afraid to ask deep questions towards people. They will appreciate the challenge and not being surface level and you actually wanting to learn and grow from them.

What has worked for me in networking is to always find a way to create value with the person I’m building a relationship with, and if I can’t, I can always point them into the direction where I see fits their wants/needs
