Life & Work with Marzenka Kwintera of The Hague

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marzenka Kwintera.

Hi Marzenka, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Where I have to start… Maybe from the beginning in 2004, I move with my backpack to the Netherlands. I am originally from Poland . First I was busy all the years to be stable after this finally was my dream. I bought my first camera and learned everything myself from YouTube or other social media. Also get a lot of old books from my husband family .  

I love being in fashion I love this. Watching thousands of times Vogue, Glamour of like programs with Top Models from countries of the world. 

My first model was a butterfly , this was just beginning. Years of hard work searching and learning …believe me how many times I was thinking “I stop”. 

I know no one in this country plus the langue, no connections …no one. Just me. I meet finally some people and becoming my friends ..they said to me go for it and  Of course my husband who always support me. Here I am in 2023 with work what I love “the fashion industry”. Is not only me I met people with whom I did big projects or small. My work you can see in Vogue Portugal, Glamour South Africa, on exhibitions and in others publications. And I will not stop anymore. Because I love my work …love searching new faces models and making new projects with them. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Was never easy “fashion industry” is not easy. Is difficult. You must know everything about fashion, I mean if you want to be a fashion photographer. Every day searching ,read news about fashion .But never give up. I mean for me is difficult …laugh but I can’t remember everything, I am just a human being.     Remember all names of models ,designers or photographers . In this industry you are learning every day.

I am working constantly each day. It is hard work but with good energy .You work with big team and is important that everyone is comfortable with others.

Some times is not easy but on the end all team see “this we make it “and this is our work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a fashion photographer and want to be this way. This world is going to be more and more and I hope I follow this with my style. Proud is not only me is all my team work, who makes this happen…without a team you’re no one.

I hope in future you will be able to see my work all over the world , and expand my team. 

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I always take risks is part of my job…if I did not I will be sitting on my couch till now. Is investing in what you do…sitting and waiting is not an option in the fashion industry. Is work each day every day. If some one said to me lets do it project in Paris ,I pack my backpack and go for it. 

No matter what profession we’re in, if you don’t dare, you’ll never know.
