Hi Chevonne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The story of Made With Luv- Custom Print Shop started back in 2019 when I was searching for a business that could assist with some personalized items for a Soca Cruise that my friends and I had coming up. After a few failed attempts, I eventually asked a co-worker and instead of taking the order, she offered to show me how to do it myself!
I posted a photo of the personalized tumblers that we personalized, and I was NOT ready for the response! In the weeks leading up to the cruise, I had taken orders for almost 300 personalized tumblers! I was totally blown away and quickly realized that a decision needed to be made. Do I start a business? Do I keep this as a hobby? With the support of a very close family member, I officially launched Made With Luv-By Chev Rich LLC in January 2020! As of today, I have expanded my offerings to include not just tumblers and drinkware but a range of apparel to include T-shirts, outerwear, hats, totes, masks, aprons, paint party packages, acrylic custom gift boxes, classes and more!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think any success story can be written without the parts that speak about the struggles and the fails! Prior to MWL, I had never owned a business nor had I any clue on what it meant to run a successful business outside of staying up late to work on orders and post really pretty pictures of them on social media! The hard lessons came one by one and I had to navigate how to best keep track of incoming order volume, effectively communicate with customers, maintain proper inventory, properly market my products, update my website, remain relevant, etc. The one thing that I struggle with today is scalability and figuring out what I want that to look like for MWL while still maintaining balance in the other important aspects of my life. Still a work in progress… but I’m getting there!

Made With Luv was built on the sole premise of providing customers with affordable quality products while offering a premium customer experience! It’s all about the experience for me! Don’t you hate it when you are spending your money somewhere and you don’t get a good feeling while doing it? I’m mostly known for my T-Shirt printing. I’ve taken orders from 1-300 shirts. I’ve definitely been referred to as “The T-Shirt Lady” on more than one occasion! There are probably 10,000 other print shops out there but when my customers receive their items in the mail, I want to them to feel the excitement that they are receiving something special that was Made With Luv just for them!
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
There are several key things that matter to me in this business. What matters MOST to me is that MWL serves as a way for me to expose my children to entrepreneurship and allow them to explore their creativity in different ways. They are learning at a young age that their income and wealth doesn’t have to be dictated by anyone. They have to power to create what that looks like for themselves! A few months ago, I was asked to speak at Career Day at my daughter’s school so I brought her up on stage with me. At seven years old, I stood back in awe at how she presented our business to her peers and how she was able to articulate our business model and what we offer. She even interacted with the students and asked them what “being an entrepreneur means to them”!? This tells me that they ARE paying attention and that we’re on the right track!
