Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiara McGee.
Hi Tiara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for business and real estate alike. I was captivated by HGTV’s house-hunting and house-flipping shows before middle school. As I think about it, the concept of home has always been near and dear to my heart. With my mother succumbing to breast cancer when I was only five years old, no house ever felt like home, until just recently. So, as a realtor it completely fulfills me to be able to make my client’s home dreams come true!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was not a smooth road. This path was filled with detours! I accepted an internship in college that transitioned into an accounting career. Then, as a single mother it was very difficult to consider leaving a stable career with benefits in the pursuit of entrepreneurship. Add to that, real estate is a very expensive business to enter. So, I embarked on this journey as a single mother, with a full-time job and bartending on the side – many sleepless nights!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an Atlanta native, I offer a coupling of personal market expertise and southern hospitality. I also bring a decade of real estate accounting experience. As a result, I strive to empower all of my clients with the same care and information across the board – from the first-time homebuyer to the seasoned multifamily investor! The HOME business is truly my passion and I’m big on community!
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love us – the people! Everyone is so friendly and there’s a prevalent entrepreneur mindset in the community. There’s always something fun to do thanks to all of our budding entrepreneurs and creatives. I honestly can’t think of anything that I dislike, other than the traffic!
