Meet Anya Fleming

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anya Fleming.

Hi Anya, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi and a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. I relocated to Nashville, TN about five years ago and I began to pick up many different passions. As a single parent, this gave me the opportunity to start fresh, explore entrepreneurship, and tap into my creative side. I started my milkshake/dessert-inspired candle business in 2020 and it has been a great success. With being in business, I began to travel quite a bit doing pop-up shops and seminars to expand. I literally fell in love with traveling the world for business and decided it would be amazingly smarter to get paid for my travels while working anywhere I want and also helping others as well.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Transitioning from candles to travel wasn’t actually half bad. I am very well known for my candles so I’ve built up a lot of trust with people. Once I decided to add travel in the mix, numerous of friends and family hopped on board. I am extremely blessed to say the least because it’s not always easy transitioning into other lines of businesses when you’re known for something else. As I constantly post travel deals on my social media pages, I am able to instantly get bookings and or clients who reach out just to inquire about a trip. Although I have started off in good standing, I have to be honest and say that making the transition had me worried a bit because of course, I didn’t know how people would receive me as being a travel agent. Since starting, I have had numerous bookings outside of the U.S and also within. I have been able to make so many of my clients happy by taking the stress off of their backs and doing the work for them.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I absolutely love Atlanta! It’s extremely fast-paced and its culture is what I enjoy the most. There are so many food options and they are all unmatched. One of my favorite newly found spots is Mad House Sports Bar & Grill. They have the best drinks in town for sure!!! There are also tons of small businesses who help each other thrive. Atlanta is continuing to grow each and every day and many people are being brought into the city with concerts and different events happening. Everyone has their own opinion about Atlanta but I think as a collective, everyone can say that they absolutely HATE the morning and 5:00 traffic! The city is well known for terrible traffic and just maybe one day it will get better!
