Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Bingham.
Christina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My Grandfather actually took up photography back in the 60’s. He was attending college in Chicago at the time and he and his buddies use to tether belts together so they could dangle over the side of high rises to get amazing cityscapes. So, I guess you can say it’s in my blood. Of course, I was part of the Myspace generation so everyone had a digital camera. However, I like to think of myself as a bit of a purist. My first job was actually developing real film in a lab. The last 10 years, I’ve been in the fashion industry as a stylist and I was always most excited to work on photoshoot sets so that’s when I decided to combine a few love interest into one. I developed a wedding photography brand that would focus on serving up killer photos to creative, unique and head-over-heel couples’ with a passion for heirloom quality photos that look straight out of a fashion magazine.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
You know, the universe really came together for this one. Without a doubt there has been hardships and by hardships I guess you can say hard work. You know the blood, sweat, tears and nights on my computer till 4 am kind. Haha! But truly I think the stars have totally aligned and I’m exactly where I need to be.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Christina Bingham Photography – what should we know?
So like I said earlier I have a background in fashion. I’ve spent the last 10 years in fashion as a stylist at one of the best known companies in the industry. With them, I was given the opportunity to work with a ton of high-end clientele and I’ve learned all about impeccable customer service. My studio specializes in delivering a celebrity boutique experience to couples who value incredible service and quality. Our style is really unique. Fashion photography meets wedding photography sort of thing. I think that really sets it apart.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
100% my customer service. The clients are obviously purchasing my photography skills, but I think what has lead to such raving fans has undoubtedly been my customer service. Each client gets a custom experience and often times at the end of the entire thing we end up being really great friends! I cant tell you how many people I’ve bonded with over my love for Taco Bell and Memes. Just because something is professional and quality doesn’t mean it cant be fun and “me”. I think its just really important to be authentic and thats led to such success for me.
