Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Thompson.
Ashley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my faith and fashion blog called, Faith Through Fog in 2016 during a pretty turbulent time in my life. I was in a career transition and examining what I really wanted out of life. I’ve always loved fashion, so blogging about it was natural for me. I also wanted to encourage others through the Word of God. I’m so proud of my blog. It’s a creative outlet where I’m able to express myself and show people who I am both inside and out!
During the day, I’m a television reporter. I’m able to meet people from all walks of life and tell their stories. I’ve been a reporter for about six years, working in Alabama, Arizona and finally Georgia.
Before I started my career, I was a cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints.
I’m excited for what my future holds.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth road!? Of course, not! Even the road I’m currently on is bumpy! LOL!
Some of the struggles have included constant career relocation, distance from loved ones, insecurity and doubt but I stay the course knowing the Lord orders my steps. Faith takes you where you can’t presently see.
Please tell us about Faith Through Fog.
Faith Through Fog is a faith and fashion blog. I blog about what I wear or what I’d like to wear. I also blog about faith and how it helped me. I interview movers and shakers who inspire me. I also blog about places I’ve been and future plans.
I’m most proud Faith Through Fog got a shout out when I was profiled as a “Most Eligible Bachelorette” in Jezebel Magazine.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is visiting St. Thomas with my family. My parents are from the island and when they brought my siblings and me back, it was very memorable.
